Hi,
Was there ever a Special Equipment Generator offered from factory for the XK120 or XK140, as shown in attached photos? I have a chance to buy one, but I have not sure if this is where it was originally used

Usually....they were Police type work, for extra lights, radios, sirens.
In other marques, that and delivery type vehicles.

I can imagine this in larger MK's for police work and such before the advent of alternators.
