Jaguar XJ6 3.2 T-Reg .....Erratic Idle!!!!

Dont know if im writing this in the right place but my dad has a jaguar xj6 3.2litre T-reg (1999 i think) and it recently began idling very erratically but still drives perfectly well! does anyone know what could cause this!!??

Hmmmm, I suspect that the air mass meter could well be playing up. We have a couple of resident experts on the board, so it shouldn't be long before one of them notices this and chimes in.
