You read right... At a local show I saw a 1932 Ford hotrod, powered by a Jaguar V12! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

A link to a large sized version... https://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=151685216&size=o

I never got a chance to talk to the owner, but it would have to be a custom frame, but even still is a chassis that short up to the job? It was certainly the talk of the show...

Wouldn't have to be a custom frame, just boxed and fully
welded would be strong enough to put up with the V12...
The early frames are made with "real steel" afterall...

Looks more like a sanitarium machine to me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

But very good wrenching going on there! Alot better than seeing a small block chevy powered XJS. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Somewhere here I have a picture of a Viper V-10 powered XJS - neat car and builder...

...But, the guy that built that rod has way more of my respect. Looks like an awsome machine!

Finally a duece worth looking at. The stuff around here is usually fiberglass (Jag powered may be also) with a Chevrolet 350/350 powertrain. I don't take the time to even look. There are several suppliers of new chassis for hot rods. If you pick up a copy of any of the rod mags, you will see all kinds of cool stuff ($).

Saw a Cobra with a V12 once. Impressive engine in any car.
