TR6 jag brakes on tr6

hey guys, has anyone used jaguar calipers on a tr6? i have some xj6 calipers that will bolt on, they are 4 piston calipers. the only thing i was wondering about is if someone has done it, what type of rotor do you use? i heard toyota cressida rotors will work and i dont know if the jaguar rotors will work. thanks!

SCCA specs the XJ6 calipers and vented rotors on all the Tr3-Tr6 models. Part numbers listed in the PCS (rule book) are

Disc: C32764
Right side C: 60-12797
Left side C: 60-12796

The SCCA cars are running aftermarket hubs and I believe they are requied in order to get them to work (or stock Jag hubs). Not 100% sure on that though. They are more effective than the stock Triumph peices for sure, but parts are expensive, and for competition use the seals are melting (talking road racing here), for street use or autocrossing they would be fine.

I've heard of people spacing to the stock 16P calipers in order to fit vented disks. From what I read they were common fitment on Fords in Europe with vented disks, and all was used was a spacer.

That should get you on the right track. Hoepfully someone who has done this on here chimes in.
 
thanks monkeywrench. anyone else know any additional info on the hubs? is it possible to use jag rotors on the stock hubs? thanks guys

I've seen Southwick hubs mentioned in various postings. I believe the company name is Southwick Machine and Design in Coal Valley IL.
 
Southwick hubs are great for stock replacements, but they are the stock bolt-pattern. It is my impression that the Jag's are 5 lug wheels, hence the need for a different hub. I think Tilton Engineering was originally making aluminum versions of the Jag hubs, but they stopped doing that long ago.
