Jack Points for BJ8

Hi Dave,
How low is that jack? Can it get under the frame when you have a flat tire?

It's about 1-1/2" tall. I got the idea from one of Keoke's posts. (Gee, I miss him.) I think it was him that said to look for a jack from a 350zx because they are aluminum.

I'll check on the 350Z jack when I get home. That would be cool 'cause then I'll have the wife follow me around in the Z as a legitimate support vehicle. :jester:

BTW, I miss Keoke's FWIWs as well...

Another jack to look for is a Mazda RX7 or RX8 jack. That's the one I was able to find. I like it because it's aluminum and low profile as well. Also the turning handle is pretty nicely cushioned.

Hopefully I'll never need it.

My 350Z jack sits at 3 1/4 inches closed, plus it only has about 2 square inches of contact where it lifts the car. I guess it wouldn't be that bad for a quick tire change...
