J hooks an wing nuts for attaching hard top to body BT-7 - anyone got photos?

Hi All
I have just purchased two J-hooks and wing nuts from a UK supplier which are used to fix the rear part of the hard top to the body of my BT-7. The hooks do not appear to be threaded deep enough down the shaft and the wingnut stops well short of actually tightening down onto the lug of the hard top. Also the shafts of the J-hooks are completely straight and the the wing nut is therefore too close to the hard top body to to turn easily. Should the shafts have a little bend in them?

Any photos showing an original j-hook would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

Sorry. Had trouble sending images from my iPad. Will send a few in the morning.

Hope this helps. The originals are definitely angled. I also ordered some new ones that were straight. I ended up using my originals, although I am sure the new ones could be bent to work.

Hi
Below is a photo showing an original hook on the left and the new one supplied to me on the right. No wonder it doesn't fit!
