.....or never had one.
Where is it?
When I had all the guts out from under the hood, I made a mental note that I couldn't find the fuel filter, no big deal, probably near the fuel pump, left my mind.
This morning I've been tracking my fuel system: two pipes, one goes all the way forward to the canister, one forward, 40 degree turn to port, then forward and up straight to the carbs.
Nothing around the fuel pump.
Was a filter ever fitted to the 74? I assume that it would have been.
Why would someone remove it if it's supposed to somewhere else?

none there except after market.

Any idea how long I've been looking for something that doesn't exist.

My confusion was justified in that the PO had a filter in a box of stuff he left in the trunk. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

8 oz of sta-bil,
7 hose clamps,
6 quarts of brake fluid,
5 tubes of lithium grease,
4 spark plugs,
3 gallons of oil,
2 pints of antifreeze......
And a......

Fat Tire is some pretty good ale.

Our cars are BRITISH ... Guinness is wonderful but it comes from Ireland. So Bass, Boddingtons or Newcastle (all of which are sold in the US) would be more correct.

Read the rest of it Bud. It actually tells of the motley MG that was dubbed "The Old Speckled Hen."
Just for the new folks knowledge, of course.
