Anyone know what the specs are and how to correctly aim the headlights on a 73 TR6.
After rebuilding the rear suspension they're out of whack and my fiddling has got them worse now.
I couldn't see the specs in the Bentley book.
Any help appreciated.
 
mainly adjust, drive, readjust and repeat, to start, the car needs to be on level ground with a sheet of cardboard in front of the car, the car needs to be about 10 feet back, measure from the ground to the center of each light and then measure the height where the brighest spot on the card board is and do it for both lights, I think mine were set about 2 inches lower than the height of the light on the car, drive the car and see where the lights fall on the street, Mine were intially shining over the cars in front of me and after about 1 hour of adjusting I got them where I can see the road without my driving lights that are mounted below the front bumper, good luck
 
Take it to an inspection station. Part of the requirements, if done correctly, is that your lights don't blind oncoming drivers. They have the wall chart and clamp on adjuster buckets that will allow you to set them in minutes.

Local shops that do genuine repair work will have these also.
 
Don't feel bad, my Haynes manual shows you how to remove the rear view mirror but not how to adjust it after you put it back on.
