Around 40 mph winds, temp is 15 degrees F, and snowing like crazy! House is nice and warm, freezer and fridge are full! Am I going anywhere? Not likely! The roads are treacherous with ice from an earlier rainy mist! If Oklahoma stays true to character, tomorrow it might be swimming weather! :jester:

Light snow, then sleet, now rain here.
Temps heading DOWN 🥶

Just 4 deg here but lots of wind. Just a light snow though. Not going anywhere today but have important doctor appt tomorrow and expect more of the same weather.

4 deg C here but we are getting ready. Big question for us is whether we will have church Christmas Eve.

It's 2° here with 30-35 mph winds, maybe more. Which isn't bad for a winter front. The annoying part is the power keeps going out. The longest is stayed on since about 7:00 this morning has been fifteen minutes.

Another weather report just came in saying tomorrow morning the wind chill temp will be -20 to - 30 degrees below 0! 🥶

It's now 4 F degrees.

Our version:

Two Canadians die and end up in heck.

The devil decides to pay them a visit, so he walks into their room and sees them talking and laughing. Confused, he asks them why they're happy.
They tell him, "Well, we're so sick of the cold where we're from, and this place is nice and toasty."
The devil, annoyed, storms away and goes to heck's boiler room, where he turns up the temperature. He goes back to the Canadians' room, along the way being begged by all sorts of people to put the heating back down. He enters the room to see the Canadians having a barbecue. Furiously, he asks them what they're doing.
"Well, we can't pass up this wonderful weather without getting out the barbecue!"
The devil realizes he's been doing the wrong thing. He goes to the boiler room and turns it down until it's at a colder temperature than ever seen on earth. He knows he's won now, so he goes back to the Canadians' room, only to see them jumping up and down in excitement. He shouts at them in fury, "WHY ARE YOU STILL HAPPY?!?!?!"
They look at him and shout at the same time, "heck froze over! That means the Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup!"

Zero here this morning, 2-3 inches of snow it appears looking out. Not much wind it seems, trees aren't moving around and no drifts I see, and we were told to expect 35-45mph overnight and into the morning.

It didn't get any colder over night than it did yesterday when the front arrived. It's 2° and at least it isn't breezy this morning.

56F at 7am here. Will be around 10F in 12 hours. Wind gusts started at 40mph at 5am; will be near 70mph later today. Will have to check the Scots Weather Stone frequently.

hmmm - guess they dont' have blizzards and nor'easters in Scotland ...

Weather on my phone says it is 5 deg here now but also gives a wind chill warning as if 5 deg isn't enough chill. Forecasts 21 deg this afternoon so maybe that "global warming" is coming back.

0 here this morning, up from -2F last night, and getting warmer! :encouragement:

It is warm here but we live at the end of the grid and if there are any issues no power..we also have a deep well that needs power to work. We invested in a 24k Generac and it will power the whole house (100 amp service)...it has only been used once but worked perfectly...15 second interruption and it is on...power on it goes off.
I am actually more concerned about some hackers playing with the grid and holding it hostage as happened out east with the pipeline.

I hope the power comes on for ya'll pretty soon.

2 degrees, windchill -30 degrees, wind, can't look into it, covers blown off two cars. 2" of snow, but a foot in drifts with, back ice spots between the small drifts. The new windows are not good but furnace doing it's job. The other side of town without power. Fingers crossed. Might have to jury rig rv generator sitting on floor of garage on rollers.

Been below zero here all day in SW Ohio. I work from home so hasn't been a big deal for me, but there have been reports all day of accidents and closed roads/highways due to the icing that occurred before the snow which the plowing didn't do more than just uncover.
