A couple of weeks ago the local TV station reporter was covering a story about a robbery and said:
<span style="font-style: italic">"... the police canine unit was called and they are bringing the dogs"</span>
Really? What else would they bring cats?

Or this...

A guy stopped at our shop a few years ago, in a truck with the sign: "Canine Rescue Unit" on the doors.

I couldn't resist... "I thought they were smart enuff to not need rescue."

Thirty second blank stare.

One of my favourites (not people) is the Blowout Tire Sale a nearby shop has every summer.
