It's in Hemmings. It needs some place to hide. It's under 10 grand. But needs total restoration or leave it as is for a keep sake? Or a mail box?

Tony, I get it that you don't care for Purple?

Purple isn't the problem - its the gold bumper & wheels & grille!

But it's a movie star!

Eddie Murphy co-starred with her!

I think that is one car that could increase it's value by removing all traces of gold, and then some BRG paint. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

It would still be a pile of scrap. I seem to recall they butchered the car, which was already a a basket case, to put the non-original engine and transmission in the car. The shifter was some huge lever sticking out of the side of the trans tunnel.

that car isn't worth $500 imho, which is probably why they couldn't sell it on eBay.

Nah - leave the gold, add some green, and send it to N'awlins for Mardi Gras! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

(But hurry - Mardi Gras comes early this time around!)

It has a V6 in it with an automatic tranny. The interior has been chopped up a bit. I think the ignition switch is shot as they basically hot wired it. The wiring harness is probably shot or why would they route extra wires through the drivers side kick panel and secure it with duct tape. The 10 Gs their asking is only good for someone who wants it as a piece of memorabilia. The car, to me, would be worth, maybe, $1,000.00 and that is only if everything underneath wasn't rotted out. The conversion to a V6 was probably a chop job at best. Typical Hollywood style. Glitter on the surface and bailing wire and twine holding it together.
