It's amazing how large a deer is from 5' away

Coming home last night, 2 blocks from home at 10:00. What's that motion out of the corner of my eye, moving in front of me fast from left to right, react, crap a deer, he's really big, brain to foot, react, react, react, sphincter muscle tightens, ready for impact, brake pedal is depressing, brakes are reacting, Bugsy misses a deer by less than 5' at 35 mph+. Conclusion, deer are far more scary when seen through a Spridget windshield close up than when seen from a larger car. Glad I missed, I don't want to test and see how well a windshield protects me from a 150 lb deer.

My other thought is it's not like Bugsy is a quiet car sneaking up on an innocent deer. He's loud!!!Glad I wasn't on a motorcycle. Drive safe.

I'd hate to think how you could have customized the front end of Bugsy. My son hit one with his minivan a couple of months ago and it did a number on the van. When I was a kid it was rare to see a deer and now they are more a nuisance than something that is is fun to see. They love eating my shrubbery too. Glad you're OK.

glad you're OK - did you need help removing the seat?

Heh....a couple of years ago I was coming home from the casinos in the mountains here in Colorado when something similar happened to me. I crested a hill at 60MPH to find a HUGE bull elk standing in the middle of the road (he had to be pushing 1000 pounds). My Bugeye wouldn't have stood a chance....luckily he was in the right hand lane and I was in the left. We stared at each other as I drove on by.

With a little car like ours, the even bigger worry is in ends in the cockpit with you, and the car and you both get smacked. Call me heartless, but deer season should be alot longer, you hunters kill em, I'll be glad to help you eat em  Venision taste better when it does not hit you in the mouth going 30 mph
