Last night at 9:30 PM life was breathed into HBJ7L20783 after 25+ years of sitting fallow in a Connecticut barn. He isn't pretty yet, but the old guy's heart is beating, and perhaps we'll try to get the patient out of bed this weekend for a stroll around the hospital floor. Life is Good.

Yep, always a good sign when you get a pulse! If you let it get good and hot, you can do a leak down check to see where you stand. One good cure for stuck rings is to put a few onces of WD-40 in each cylinder and let it set about a week. Make sure you "blow out" the excess with the plugs out before you try starting it though, you could pop a hole in a piston top! I've seen some amazing compression regained with this method.

I have some dank fuel to get out of the way (tank was drained before it left Florida), then to chase around and find some "spark" (coil or condenser?) and wind it up a few times. I drove it off the trailer into Paul's shop 3 years ago, but I think he only got it started once (with much effort) since.

Already picked up some fresh Sunoco 94 and an Optima battery. I'll let ya'll know when she breathes again.

Way to go Lance!

Great feeling isn't it! Got my hundred started for the first time in 40+ years last summer.
