IT'S ALIVE! ... See it on You Tube

My project is finally running! Today I started the engine for the second time after haviing taken care of a few small issues and it sounds strong. Great oil pressure (55 psi @ idle and up to about 90 or so when blipped) and it sounds pretty good. I've only static timed it and have not touched the Weber's except to adjust the idle. I set up a dual exhaust with 2.25" stainless pipes and 2 Magnaflow mufflers. It seems very loud, but I think it will sound a little less severe outside of the garage.

The only issues I have right now is an oil leak at the filter head caused by not connecting the oil pressure line to it and the ATI harmonic dampener seems to wobble a bit at idle but straightens out when the RPM's are increased. Other than that, it feels and sounds very strong.

Go see for yourself!

First Signs of Life

Couldn't find your car. All I got were a bunch of videos of babies breastfeeding....couldn't tell if they were British.

Sorry, I have no idea what is wrong because the link works for me. It may be some type of ever changing URL or something.

If you do a search on You Tube for "TR4 first signs of life" you should be directed right to it.

So, you were able to hold on to it?

Thanks Mickey!

I have been all thumbs lately with techno stuff.

Yea, I still have it and I'm committed to completing the project. At this stage, I would be crazy to sell, especially given the lackluster response I got at Ebay.

All I need to complete it is a paint job and some interior stuff, so the hard part, and expensive part is behind me.

Looks and sounds good! As we say in the "business'', pull out and give us a wide shot!

Tab, it sounds great, but I'm assuming you did the prescribed cam break run in earlier?

I did the cam break in on the first start. This was actually the first time I have started it since I installed the mufflers and tweaked a few things. I just installed a new Aeromotive fuel pump, filter and regulator and it really smoothhed everything out.

It appears to be sending us to a mobile site, which, on a real computer, sends us to a site that recommends videos based on our recent viewings

...which makes me wonder what you last were watching...

=)

Not sure why those videos showed up....may have had something to do with the title, "First Signs Of Life."

kind of odd, when I try it on my iPhone it works fine and goes to your video Ok but when I try the link on my PC it doesn't work, it goes to the wrong link like others have reported.

LOL!

I'm only now becoming familiar with all the apps now for mobile platforms. My Macbook Pro which is less than 6 months old got beat up a bit during my trip to Europe and needs a new logic board, so I bought an I-Pad to use temporarily. It really like the small size and it's very simple to use, but it takes a little getting used to coming from a full function laptop. Apple needs to address a few issues with it like making it Flash compatible, adding a camera and microphone as well as making it capable of multitasking, but I'm sure these things will come in the next few releases...just before they come out with something entirely new to replace it.

I'll post a better video when I get everything sorted out.
