you'll have to go to my pictures because my skills aren't great but it really SNOWED!!!!

Hey, Randi -

I remember one winter in Shreveport, it was extremely cold. We lived on a pocket of the north shore of Cross Lake. The area right behind the house froze to the point where we could take our pirogue and slide across the ice - the water there was about three feet deep, but I don't know how thick the ice was. Enough to support me in the pirogue, anyway. My brother-in-law got in with me and we tried to make our way out, but the ice started cracking. Quite a foreboding sound, that!

And there were ice blocks floating in the Red River the same week!

Mickey you should have seen us running around like fools at 6am this morning :jester: definitely a "Chicken Dance " moment Lez Sez Bonton Roulet or as close as a Californian can get to the spelling!

Mais, Cher - 'at's OK - Me, I got the message!

(Laissez les bons temps rouler!)

Laissez les bon temps rouler, indeed. I've seen some pictures and am glad I'm even more south at the moment. And believe you me mes amis, pictures are as close as I want to get. :jester:

Ahh Stuart if the God's could be so kind........I'm about to enter a fireworks tent for 3+ fun filled weeks of 18 hour days..... :wall:

hmmmmmm.....is this <span style="font-style: italic">"when it snows in heck"</span>? I mean, many people (other than those of us in the know) think N'Awlins is the gate to heck.

Snow in N'Awlins - man I would love to see those photos!

You mean the one photo of the guy in a bathing suit?

I wanna see the Vieux Carrie covered in white!

You call that snow?

That's only a light skiff of it... I'll just let you think it's whole bunch fo snow...

LOL I lived in Wyoming so you'd think I would have stayed in bed this morning when our "Snow Event " happened..........nooooooooo I was the worst kid with my husband screaming for me to quit getting wet!!

A little snow seems to bring out the kid in all of us... At least that's what I've seen, especially here in a winter climate...

We're gettn a good bit of it while we speak. My 25 minute drive home took over an hour. This stuff's greasy. the poor ol Bimmer was waggin all over the place on the way home. Now I gotta go out and put the plow frame on the Jeep. that'll probably be my commuter car tomorrow. I'm bettin it's a snow day for the schools.
C'mon up Randi... we can build forts! hehehehehe.

Loved them, Randi, especially the palm trees in Jackson & Washington Squares!
