well the carbs are back on so a new distributer coil two sets of wires (dont ask) and a carb rebuild kit and im running with a strong engine !!! the spindles are a bit stiff so I have to deal with that and im still raceing but it is working, i did find a air leak in one of the gaskets.

now clutch work

and maybe a right hand drive mk2 jag tomorrow but im leaning to getting a 67 benz coup.

Only can deal with raceing by getting out on the track.

Seriously, prob another air leak, first thing to check in any case. Second would be butterfly valves, are they fully closeing? Float levels next.

Of course you know it must have fuel and air to race so solution is kind of, ok how come so much.

thanks

And know that the scavengers wait at the places where you are most likely to run off the road. They can strip a car of all the good stuff faster than you can figure out what happened.
Cost of a lap when I did it in 69 was 1 mark.
