It has several cracks in the top...

The guy that sent me the link (who collects rare guitars) said that it will easily pass $500K and may top $1M!
Yes, an amazing piece of history.

WOW!!!!! Words fail me.

I'll sell one of my ukuleles for a bit less than that. I played with Dylan in concert.
OK - he was on You Tube....you caught me.

I bought a new Martin D12-35 in 1974 when I was an airman in the USAF. Like an idiot I sold it around 81 or 82 (I needed money for car parts!). I always regretted selling it, so when I saw an ad on Craig's List for a 1974 D12-35 in a town 3 hours south, I immediately called the lady (it had been her husbands who dies years ago). The price was very reasonable considering what it was, so now, after all these years, I have another 1974 Martin D12-35. For all I know this could even be the one I sold all those years ago. (somewhere tucked away in a folder I have the original receipt which would have the S/N on it of the original Martin I bought)

Nice. I never could play a guitar. Those 2 extra strings got me.
What do you like to play?

I like Beatles of course and favor any easy listening music that is made for acoustic guitar. I'm a strummer more than a picker however.

Me too. In my case, poor finger dexterity combined with lack of practice. I belong to 2 groups - one here and one in Florida. Every month a new theme for songs. Some of the songs are terrible - pop crap from the 1990s. Beatles, American song book, Folk Songs, protest songs from the '60s, some rock, C & W, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, etc.

Wow, a cool piece of history but that seems a bit pricey for any guitar.
