Lary Labrot was kind enough to sell an extra rear bumper license light to me. It is in pretty good shape and I went to my plating place to see how much to have it redone and he wants $260.00 to make it look new. Now I know these things only sell for $265 to $285 Now the real question. What quality is the new units? Is it worth having the old one redone and still having old innards???

Now the second issue, I need the dang gaskets or seals between the big gauges and the dash. People say auto parts store . I went to 4 ,all say no dice. HELP!!! What in blazes do I ask for???

Thank you all
your too kind

I can't speak to the quality of the new lamps, but I think given the choice, I'd opt for the refurbish.
As far as the gauge gaskets go, just look for large "O" rings. You may wind up looking at an industrial hydraulic supply, or equipment dealer for the larger ones. Or an aircraft supply house. I think either the AN6230 or the MS28775 would be the correct profile.

I've never seen anything like that at my local stores. So I ordered O-rings from MMC
https://www.mcmaster.com Cost a whopping $8.11 for 50 of them, now I can share with my (local) friends.

I found some used hydraulic oil filter gaskets to fit my TR3 speedo and tach gauges. Turned em around so the flat end was facin out and the groove worn from the filter was against the dash. Looks good but sits a little thicker off the dash than original.

The oil filter cannister gasket from a TR6 works just fine on the big units. There was a guy on ebay that I bought a complete set of gauge gaskets from for $5 last fall, but I never see him advertise any more.

These guys will help you too: https://www.nisonger.com/

Still waiting for them to return a phone call from January.

Paul, so it's the oil canister from the 6 that fits??

Hi Don,
I switched to the spin on oil filter, so I basically just happened to have two extra gaskets from my original TR6 oil filter canister. I used them on the back of my tach and speedometer gauges and they work great. Did you ever find the o-rings for your smaller gauges? I have some if you can't find some. Also, I did try to go back into my Ebay records, but the item is not listed after 60 days. As Paul mentioned, the guy that was selling the squared type O-rings doesn't seem to be selling them on Ebay anymore.

I have these. The large ones fit da 3. Not sure if they fit the gauges on a 6? If you want them PM me with your address. The large ones are 4.25 ID - 4.50 OD. 1/4 inch thick. The wee ones are 2 & 7/16ths ID by 2 & 10/16ths OD. 3/16ths thick. This is all I have for now until the next 400 hours or winter arrives.
