Between Christmas and New year's eve I made a bank run and on the way saw an Isetta 300 in a body shop parking lot. Red-red and in well restored condition. Spoke with the owner and found out there were a few in the area, and a fella with a not-so well turned out one also is the owner of a Messerschmitt micro. Interesting conversation. I didn't know there were several different incarnations of the Isetta, the one he has is a four wheel US import version. Two wheels close together at the rear. The German, Europe only ones had only one rear wheel. And there was a four-seater version.

I had a red and white Isetta back around 76 or 77. My father had a BMW 600 which was like a big Isetta. 2 cyl instead of one and a door in the front and one on the right rear. Fun little cars!
