Is Ugly the New Beautiful?

Mee too! Boy did she look good on TV during the divorce proceedings.

Women with tatoo's are just a turn-off.

Not just women! Tattoos are just not at all attractive! I actually had a student last year (8th grade) who got a tattoo! Who is this child's mother? Don't any of these people realize that their skin is going to change a lot over the next 60 years and this is permanent! Think of all those tattooed grandmothers who are going to be running around in about 40 years!

Tony: did you view the other 26 beauties? I just don't get it?
No, it didn't give me that option.

But, I did watch the video - & its apparrent that beautiful is still in based on the ad before the video!!

...beauty? Maureen O'Hara in The Quiet Man. Hard to top that.

I was looking at Ava Gardner photos this weekend. My great uncle dated her some before she left Kenly, North carolina to head for Hollywood. What a beauty.

I'm not a fan of the Edsel. I prefer Bugattis or even somehthing a little less exotic like a 36 Ford. As for women I like mine more in the Lauren Bacall to Kathy Ireland range.

I don't get it either.

Then again, the whole ad/fashion industry is a mystery to me; I pretty much ignore it.

Me too - sort of... I think the point with those pictures isn't to say they represent new ideals in looks, they're just a part of a market that sells. What they sell, and to what market is another issue.

On the other hand - I don't really agree with who a lot of people think are just knock-outs. Like Dale Gribble said about Julia Roberts, a horse is a horse of course of course.

Dave, sorry, didn't mean to offend.

I deleted my post, it was goofy anyway.

I also know some very nice women with tatoos...as I told a friend of mine (in her early 40's), "You won't have to worry about me hitting on you!" To which she laughed....

Mark,
I was not offended. My daughter surprised me when she wanted the tattoo. It did not change my feelings towards her, but it generational I think. My two youngest have them, and my son-in-law has a magnificent looking piece of art of his grandfather's WWI bomber nose on him as well. Not my favorite item, but seldom are they visible to the general public either. I hate when I see an attractive woman in a formal outfit with visible tattoos, but then some music, clothing and home decor decisions do not meet my taste either. So no offense taken.

Thanks, Dave!

My (gorgeous) 20 y.o. niece has a large tatoo on the lumbar region of her back, and one on her ring finger (a ring tatooed on the finger). Looks like crap, and of course, she wears short-tailed tops so everyone can see the tat when she bends over.

She also had a nose ring, but her Mom threatened to cut her off from inheritance (true) if she ever saw the ring again.

Seems quite the rage, but I have a feeling ALL of them will regret them later.

Oh well, kids never listen to me anyway . . .

I am fighting a malpractice lawsuit in my office right now for commenting how I thought a "tramp stamp" tattoo on the lower back of a young woman, who happened to be a friend, was tacky and in bad taste. Guess I should have kept my mouth shut. We will win the suit but what a PITA.

And ya get SUED?!?

...I hope she's now an EX friend.
