Is there any problem swopping in a 3.0 in place of the 2.5 L engine in my Jag X Type?

I just got a very unworn X type but with low compression on all cylinders,-- the PO, a woman probably never changed the oil or filter and the dirt probably just sanded the bores/rings away The rest of the car is unmolested so should make a nice companion to my MK-1.
