Is there a "Right Way Up" for an SU fuel pump

Having installed the mounting bracket for my SU fuel pump, I looked at the pump itself and I saw that there is the word TOP moulded into the main body casting, which suggests there is a "right way up" for this pump to be installed. Is this so? For me it it would be more convenient to mount it somewhat rotated because of how the input and output unions are arranged. But if I have to, I'll just work around it.

Comments please...

Chris, in the pic I sent in the other thread, note that the lines are twisted in a coil. That's the way they should be. I can take another more detailed pic if you want. You have the lines uppermost. Usually connect the pump before mounting.
