I can't seem to send them any more.
When I try to add a new one, it only adds me to the thread, no matter what I try. Existing pms threads are fine though.

Does anyone else have this problem?
 
That's one I have not heard. When you type in the person's name you want to send to, are you click the "Add" button so that the person's forum name goes from the Field where you type it, to the areas below the field? I'll try to send you a PM.
 
I received a new PM and sent a reply today, no issues.
 
Basil, now I'm getting this replying to your latest. Something isn't right here:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /bcforum/ubbthreads.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
 
Vette sent me one today, that's the one I replied to. It shows he read it. I just sent one to Alana. That seemed to go through OK. I clicked on his name in this thread and chose the PM function from there.

What browser are you using and do you have any security stuff installed, like Norton Confidential or something similar?
 
IE6 on a wintel box (xp pro).
No security software, no firewall.

I'm having the same problem (can't send a PM not the Forbidden issue above) at work, which is firewalled and McAfee'd

I see the name of the addressee underneath the line when I do the add or click on the link, but the message only gets sent to me though.
 
Very strange. Tonight when I get home I'll look in my log files and see if I can figure this out.
 
Hi Alan,
How many PMs do you have in your mailbox? You can only keep 10. I don't know what error message would appear if the limit was exceeded.

P.S. I'm running IE6 on XP pro also w/virus and firewalls.
 
Alan after you send the PM do you get any Javascript error? Look to see if there is a small error icon at the lower left of your browser anf if so click it to see what it says.

All I get is the screen with the message thread, me as the only person subscribed to the thread and "unread by none".

If you want to pm me an email address, I'll snag some screen grabs of before and after - that'll make it easier to explain what's going on.
