T-Series Is spring/summer by far the best time to be able to sell aTF?

Cuckoo for the TF!

Hi, I've just recently listed a TF for sale (the green beauty seen in my avatar photo), but there's been some renewed discussion in the family about pulling the ad from Hemmings, etc., keeping the TF and continuing to enjoy and celebrate it at least a while longer.

One of my main concerns about that way to proceed is I could then find myself pretty much needing to sell it next year in the late winter/early spring or so, and I imagine a month like February or March not being a good time for trying to sell a classic convertible without a heater....? Am I right about that, is this market pretty seasonal, corresponding to sunnier/warmer weather? (I hope not)

Thanks.

I think it depends, in the south fall is likely the best time - as no one drives in the summer - too hot. In the north, the opposite is true. In reality if it is a good car, appropriately priced on the proper website, it won't make a lot of difference either way.

I think people make too much of things like that. OK, maybe you don't want to try to push it midwinter in a blizzard, but short of that, I don't think it matters much. More important is the condition of the car, how it's presented, and to make sure it is rationally priced. I like to look at car ads on eBay and Craigslist, and it's amazing how often people present their cars badly, with poor pictures and inadequate descriptions. And pricing is often delusional. Avoid those things and you're well ahead of the bunch.
