I know of one of those and a bugeye , probably take $500 for the pair in northern Ca. The later sprite is in about the same shape

If the body is as solid as it appears in the pic's I'd say yes, its worth it. I would want to pin him down on "got rid of the rust". Was it holes or slight surface rust??

Kurt.

the other question is, is it complete? I notice the headlight trim rings are missing - what else?

Why the Midget bonnet?
Is it a MK1 Midget or a MK2 Sprite?
I'd have to drive it before saying it is worth it.

No pictures of the engine either. I notice that there are different wheels on the side that is hard to see. Unless there is a boxful of parts there seems to be a lot missing or modified.

Gotta be a MK2 with those rear wheel arches (and the 1962 date).

MK1 Midget has the same rear arch as MK2 Sprite.
They were also both being produced in 1962.
Only the Midget had the chrome trim down the middle of the hood.

rust free goes a long way.
1. if you are buying it to have a hobby, or project and not worried about total cost, it is worth the money if there is a correct title and car is basically rust free.
2. this is not a good deal if you think you can doll up and drive right away and be ahead of retail price. you would be far better off paying $5K for a real nice used car all sorted out.

I agree with both 1&2 I have anexample of #1 that I am working on now. About 95% done and I inherited it for no cost LOL. I don't need another hobby :wall:

As for putting tags on it and driving it anywhere... if I do invest in another car it will be of the drive it home variety as in #2.
Done thinking!

i like the primer on the tires and rollbar. what else is the primer hiding?

He sent bigger files so I could zoom a little. Looks like he primered the wiper bezels and jets for the washer. Also looks like some poor body work around the passenger turn lamp. Midget bonnet and Sprite grill. And spagehetti under the dash.
