It's a Spitfire inspired SuperCar.
You take a cool body style, add a respectable amount of horsepower and handling along with the appropriate body mods to allow for wheel/tire widths to handle additional horsepower and torque and, voila.................cool car!
Ofcourse, I am biased as I am doing the same thing to a wedge.
Stock LBC's are a lot of fun and are great cars but modified LBC's should be recognized as more than just "hacked" LBC's. As long as they are done right.
I agree that just "throwin in a V8" or any high HP motor could be construed as just hackin, but in this case, a lot of forethought and planning was put into handling and braking as well. There is nothing wrong with making something good, much better.
Should a car like this be considered a Spitfire? Probably not. I would call it a “Sh*tNgetFire”…Purists be damned!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a purist or against upgrading, which these 70s technology cars can certainly use, but this is a totally custom car. Not a single mechanical component of British Leyland origination. I admire the creator of this beauty. I, like most of us, can only dream of possessing the variety of skills and cash required to do something like this. It really is a beauty but it's not a Spitfire.
