Post-War Other Is a TR6 diff and mounts the same as a 2500 saloon?

I've read a fair bit about TR6 people fitting a particular nissan LSD to their cars. If the TR6 and 2500 saloon share the same diff then I'll get excited and start looking for one of these rb230 diffs or whatever they're called.

Has anyone got a dimensional diagram from a workshop manual to show the TR6 diff?

Hello Glen,
the internals are the same, with the rear cover being slightly different.
The Dolomite Sprint also shares the same internals and was available, as an option, with an LSD. But they are as rare as hens teeth and very expensive. I am planning to install a Sierra 4x4 LSD diff in my Triumph which will entail fabricating a frame to attach to the Triumph sub frame and making adaptors for the prop shaft and the drive shafts.

I'm in the process of having some datsun roller half shafts modified to fit my 2500 and figured that now would be a sensible time to fit a datsun/nissan diff.

There seem to be so many options for diff upgrades I guess I just want to find the easiest one. Trouble is that most of you guys are in the UK or the USA and have access to different parts than us Aussies.

Hello Glen,
I have not seen any details of the Nissan differential so I would be interested to hear how you get on, in due course.
By the way I still run with my standard drive shafts and do not find them to be a problem. I know and have felt the twitch in other cars and wonder if it is partly due to my stiff springs (400 lb) and polyurethane bushes which reduces the amount of travel in the suspension arms?
