Iris Blue interiors

Could y'all post some pictures of your Iris Blue interiors? According to Horler they only came with blue seats with blue piping, blue panels, and blue Hardura...that's a lot of blue. Thinking about blue interior but with black carpet in front and black Hardura in back. Thoughts?
Thanks, Rut

I say if you are going to the trouble to go original, go original.
Pictures attached are of a car from the 2013 Dixon show, which took first place. Very nice car.
BTW the owner, builder MADE his own seat covers, etc. I was impressed!

Iris blue, and all blue interior, except white piping. I like the white piping as it sets the colors off well. CIMG2349.jpgCIMG2351.jpg

I love the all-blue look of the OEM, it's not too much to me. I don't love the look of blue (or red, green) carpet though. I would do black carpet in front, on the fence about the boot covering, I 'spose black makes more sense, but the blue would still look good. My .02 deposited.

Scott,
thanks for the pictures and that's close to what I'm thinking about except for the blue tunnel cover. The seats came stock with blue and blue piping, but I like the look of the blue with white piping.
Steve,
yeah, I'm up in the air about the boot covering, but don't see too many options.

Couple more shots (my Iris)...interior with new mirror and shiftknob.JPGseatbelts - new.JPG

Mark,
thanks for the pictures! Is your interior the original blue and where did you get it? I like the dark blue carpet with the lighter blue interior.

Prior owner did it... from Moss (I believe).

Gerard, I think you are right. Still, I like the more vivid blue.

Not a criticism, just for the "record". Someone, sometime will claim to be a "guru" and site your photos as proof of "originality". I don't know for certain if there were different blue colors were used, I've just only seen Navy as the interior color.

My current Bugeye project is going to be Iris blue, and while I really like the Navy interior, I plan to go a completely different direction with the interior.

In my research to date the interiors were a medium blue with the white piping on the speedwell blue cars. That's a LOT of blue! I like the idea of period correct colors, but I really think black carpet would look much better.

According to Horler, blue seats (Iris or Speedwell - MKI and MKII) had blue, light blue or gray piping. Where did you find white as an option?

Gerard,
I misspoke and I'm using Horler as well as the internet and the same chart that's on your website. I should have said light blue piping with Speedwell Blue seats. Although Horler shows the white hardtop as an option, my Heritage certificate shows that my Bugeye was ordered from the factory with a black hardtop. I don't want a hardtop and may not install my hood (black) since it will be a fair weather car.

I freshened the interior of my early '64 Iris Blue Sprite last summer. I went with navy carpet and navy vinyl trim. Since my seats were in pretty good shape, I sprayed them navy, too. I don't think it looks too bad for doing the work myself.
