Hi Folks,

Glad to see so much activity here. I've been on the Team.net Healeys mailing list since somewhere around 1996, but being able to search and post pictures on this site is so much better.

I've been restoring my 1966 AH3000 since 1998 with about 6 years taken off due to babies and stuff. I'm nearly ready for paint and it finally feels like I am nearing the end of the tunnel. I'll post up some progress pics when I get a moment.

Anyway, glad to be here.

Cheers,
Chris

I agree 100%. This site is so much easier to use than the e-mail list. Plus it actually feels like a community. I have no idea why the list survives when this format is available.

Like you, I had a long-term BJ8 restoration. I finished mine last year. It was worth the effort.

I'm on both lists as are many here. I prefer this one because it seems to be more friendly knowing who and where people are. And I like to be able to see threads and thoughts together rather than random. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both forums its just that this one is easier for me.

Hi Chris,
Welcome! I am on a number of email lists and forums. They all seem to have their own benefits. Just as I have a number of Healey friends who are different in terms of interests and expertise, so it is true with these different information formats. As long as it is about Healeys, the more the merrier. I like them all!

While I understand that there are good people who participate principally on the list, I see no technological reason for it to survive. I did not meant to suggest that the people were the issue.

Hi Bill,
I wasn't responding to you post. I was just speaking in general terms.

 Welcome to the Forum Chris, I know you'll enjoy visiting here and asking questions, and posting photos. Make sure you also post a before and after photo on the gallery as well.
