Good morning all British car fans.
I have a red 1969 MG Midget Mk 3, w/1275 engine.
Fun little car to drive on country roads where I live in NW Washington state during nice summer days.
Was running rough when I first bought it, so decided to replace the SU carbs with the Weber carb & manifold via Moss. Various hoses needed replacing as well & added a fuel filter since new carb & re set valves & new spark plugs & re set timing & cleaned up engine compartment & some painting. Not restoration level by any means but cleaner than it was when purchased a few years ago. Brakes weren’t doing well either, so did a complete break job, (flushed & replaced with DOT5), now stops way better. Changed all other fluids, Engine, tranny & rear end & clutch master cylinder.
Had a slow drip show up the other day at water pump seal & being flung outward by water pump pulley onto under side of hood.
Ordered new water pump & attempted removal while waiting for parts from Moss.
Access is very tight as I’m sure you’re all well aware.
I have just posted some questions for assistance on this current water pump/radiator issue in a separate thread.
Well, sorry to get so long winded in my introduction.
Glad to be a part of the British car family forum & thanks for everyone’s valuable experience and assistance in sharing help with others.
Respectfully,
Kurt G.

Welcome, Kurt. With all the attention your '69 MG Midget is reaching perfection. Don't change a thing...unless needed. Lots of experts to support you here. Wife and I love vacationing in the San Juan Islands. All beautiful country. Drive on!
