Great looking car, and welcome to the forum. We had two Imps when I was growing up in England and we had a lot of fun with them. Now I just have an Imp powered car instead.

Just kidding of course...your car is both rare and different, especially in the USA.
Will you be running it in vintage events? When your little car is finished, you would always be welcome to run it in some of our EMRA events (or just come down and watch). We have a Sept 24 event scheduled at Lime Rock, Connecticut (about 60 miles from you).

Yeah, that was a lot of fun /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif, that transaxle is still sitting in our laundry room on top of the washing machine so we both walk past it half a dozen times a day. I don't think Andrew wants to let it out of his sight!

I've always had a soft spot for the Ginetta G15. Saw a tatty one year's ago in a Montreal street; should have left a note on the windshield.
I ordered body parts from Malcolm Anderson in the UK but have since switched to Brian Bradshaw of Impwerks NZ. He is a very busy one-man show but always very helpful.
Brake lines were ordered from Classic Tube and they did a great job bending the lines to the originals and fitting the appropriate ends.
The notion of racing the Imp has always been on my mind having been exposed to racing the MGA in the Historics/Vintage classification (purely amateur stuff but fun none the less). Some modifications are being built in to the rebuild but I am still on the fence on this. I am familiar with Lime Rock so will try coming down September 24.
I have some parts that came with the car. I also had a 63 but that was picked clean and alas went to the wreckers. Post a list in case there may be something you need and that I may have.
I will try and pick up the thread on the Imp rear end.

Well you have two choices when responding to a post or thread. If you want to make a general reply to the overall thread, just click reply in the header of whichever post is last in the thead. If you want to post a reply to a specific person within a thread, then you can click the reply link in their post's header, or the quote link. If you click the quote link it will allow you to include some or all of their post in your post, but the stuff you are quoting will be surrounded by the UBB code for quote, like this:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
You can then edit the quoted text so that it includes only the part of their text that you are actually responding to. Then, when you save your post, their quoted stuff will be indicated as a quote. Note, for example, that in this reply to you, part of your post (the part I am responding to) is indicated as being a quote. In any case, your post will appear at the end of the thread. Hope this isn't too confusing - just play around and try it, you won't hurt anything.
