Welcome, John!

It seems like many of us here have been into sports cars for decades.....you're in good company!

A Bradley Electric? You mean like the old VW-based kit car?

Is that the Bradley GT electric that was on E-Bay recently?

The one I saw on E-Bay looked like an interesting car... And I verified it in one of my reference books that Bradley did build these electric cars.

*shakes fist in mock anger*

You outbid me on that Spider!

Glad to see you made it over to the forum, lots of helpfull people here.

Glad to see another Spider owner on the forum! (even if you outbid Mark). Just got mine last spring.

P.S. I hope to make my spit rather nicer in the near future

Welcome. Although I don't post much, I may be able to offer some decent advice.

Nice to see another TR7. Gotta outnumber those cocky Spitfire guys

Hi I'm John from Ohio. It's still threatening snow here. I've been a British car nut for many decades and currently own a 76 Spitfire, a newly acquired 80 TR7 Spider, a 59 Bugeye under restoration. Other cars I own are a Bradley Gt electric and a Porsche 911. I love sports cars and am currently starting a brand new club. Sports Cars of Ohio. The web site will be up soon and we will be looking for members. Hope to host at least two events this summer.

Sorry, I was out of the office today, Saturday. Most of my chat time was used at family affairs. To answer the question about the Bradley being on ebay. No. This is my second Bradley Gt. The first one came from an auction and had the bug engine. I restored it and played with it for awhile and then sold it. I got the idea to build this one with a kit on Ebay. I bought the Bradley off the Bradley GT website and had it shipped in from Boston area. It is unique in that it has the Sport Pac body updates that were sold in the 80's It's still sort of a project since I just finished purchasing the 12 batteries that I need to put it on the road. I'll let you know how it goes. This will be my first electric. I purchased and read all the books. Totally T.M.I.! If it doesn't go up in smoke from all the amps that those batteries put out.

It should be a blast. I'm thinking of painting it some kind of wierd paint thing like a mural of an electrical storm or something.

The Bradley electric I saw looked gorgeous. It was in very good condition, and the seller did an excellent job of describing and taking photographs of all the unusual features of it. It was a fairly recent listing (within the last two months I think) and was in the States somewhere but I forget where exactly.

Don't forget to check out the Other Cars forum for discussion of any other interesting British or non-British cars.

Signed,

I love weird cars also. Last Christmas I requested two books and Santa brought them. One was Hemmings "Abandoned Autos" and the other was "Weird Cars" by John A. Gunnell. I have owned a couple of weird ones including a Fiat 600 that I covered with big flowers. A HMV Freeway two Bradley Gt's a couple of dune buggys. My first weird car was when I was 16 and I dragged home a Renault 4CV. That car was a blast and I've been hooked every since.
