Hello, All!
I am so glad to be a part of this Forum. Who better to help, sympathize and troubleshoot with than other UK enthusiasts?! I have wanted a TR7 since I was 16 and I just recently purchased a Triumph TR7 Spider in July. We are currently restoring it slowly but surely. Sadly, I am not the least bit mechanically inclined, and therefore am going to a restoration place to get most of the work done. I so envy those of you that have the know how to do it yourself! Hope you don't mind lots of questions! Happy Driving!

Allow me to hasten and add my welcome. While I have a TR7 5speed my daughter has aTR7 automatic that she is very fond of. Both are 81 models with fuel injection. Is your Spider Fuel injected? All the California ones were, from what I understand. Good Luck, and again welcome.

Hello, I have two TR7's, one FHC and one DHC. My DHC I just finished spending four years intalling a Rover V8, etc I pulled from my TR8 parts car. My advice on your car is not to be in a hurry. Some of my parts I've been able to source from British Parts NOrthwest. I have some extra engine and braking bits left over from my conversion if you are looking for a hard to find part ask on the forum, someone probably has it. One of my rather tall neighbors (at least 6'5") drives his TR8 in the summers. He fits just fine with the top down. phil

Thanks for the welcome. From the paperwork that I have, it seems that my car spent 2 months in PA before being shipped to California. That would explain why it is not fuel injection--it has the dual carbs. It appears that your family knows much about wedgies since you have 2! Keep an eye out for me as I am sure to have many more questions. Happy driving!

Wecome Monica! I too started my journey with litte to no real mechanical experiencea and 77 Midget. (Lovingly dubbed "Little Satan" by the local LBC mechanics) You will find that these guys have the patience to walk you through many of the repairs that would normally go to the restoration shop, and you might find that with their help and a little determination that you can do quite a bit of your restoration yourself!
We are presently in the middle of our 2nd project...and most of the credit goes to the guys on BCF!
