We've had a hacking incident and the board will be shuttered until we can resolve the issue. As soon as it is figured out, we will return.

Since yesterday afternoon. East coast. XenForo software.

So far all the other east coast or midwest forums work.
 
downrightnow has long been a bookmark. However, it for me only shows top sites down (8), plus More Services (8). Never have found a place to enter a URL to check specific sites.

Actually I have contacted a human being, but they do not make the process of doing so easy to be sure.

Of course they couldn't be reached the frickin' internet was down! :grin:
 
Humans... Convenience over security. The IoT idea is a good example. And folks who buy into this stuff without understanding are a real problem. Anything with an IP addy gets username/password changed before it gets permission to connect. Even that is no guarantee, as too many devices use hardware/firmware with a built-in "backdoor" to the management warez. feh.

Why on earth should anyone need to access their toaster from a cell 'phone, anyway.
