TR6 Intermitent electric problem TR6

Hello,
Looking for some insight.
I got a TR6 1974 that started to have intermittent electric problem.
While driving, the temperature and fuel gage stop working. Same with the overdrive and flasher. The Hazards are still working but not the brake lights.
While still driving, all came back "by magic" to stop working again a few km farther. To me it seems to be a bad contact some were.
I did check all the connection to fuse box and the fus, all is good.
Would any one would know were to look? it's seem very complicated to look under the dash.
Any help is welcome.

You've got a bad or loose connection to the "green" circuit. One green wire comes off the fuse block to a multiple connection point, which is probably somewhere under the dash. It's most likely that this junction has the bad connection(s).

The fuse might still be bad. Those cartridge fuses often can look OK but have an intermittent connection at one of the caps.

Hello @Sarastro you were right!
I did look for a bad connection under the dash, could not find any thing.
Then even if I had check the fuse (green cable) with a ohm meter, that was it!

Replacing the fuse made thing work. :-)

Yeah those fuses are unreliable little buggers!

I've often wondered why certain parts of the electrical system (like the whole ignition system) are not fused. This is true of other cars of the same era. I suspect (but have no hard info) it is mostly due to the tendency of those fuses to fail or blow spontaneously, without any specific cause. For that reason, they are not used where a blown or otherwise failed fuse could cause an accident.
