I have my 6 dis-assembled to do the body work and paint. I want to replace the interior at the same time. I have asked before about interior kits, but here I go again.

I have looked at the Victoria British kits, Heritage is sending samples and a price list. I saw a kit from Prestige on e-bay. I have heard pretty good reviews about the VB and Heritage kits. Does anyone have experience with the Prestige kits. It seems they have the best price, but I would rather pay a little more and get a quality interior.

As always, all help appreciated, Pete

I got a kit from Prestige for my TR4A about a year ago. I didn't have any problems with it, as it fit and looks quite good.

I had decent luck ordering parts separately--what I needed. But each car and person is different. I had a new dash made by Randy Keller in Santa Ana (Prestige AutoWood), and I ordered my dash pads from Moss (or VB, sorry, can't remember).

But if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that the carpeting can be among the most critical.

A local shop said they'd have to order from the State of Washington to get anything close to the "wool quality" and density of some of the high quality English carpeting used in British Sports cars.

I've seen some TR "custom" carpeting with special seam work and leather edging, even with inlaid designs. There must be shops out there that really cater to carpeting installation and sewing techniques in Classic Cars.

Here's just one Website to check out.

I would bet "Washington" is Heritage...
