Interior top of the door pad

Any help on this topic would be great. I'm not even sure of the correct term for this part but it is the padded piece that goes on the top of the door panel. I have no idea what is involved in removing and replacing this part. I have replacement door panels that don't seem to difficult to change but I am leary of that top vinyl pad. My TR is a 71 if that helps.

Pull the old ones off (they're just glued on), clean up the leftover adhesive residue and glue new ones on using black moulding-and-weather-strip adhesive. Might help to somehow clamp the distorted spots here and there over night.
