As many of you may already know, TRF is having a sale this weekend on their Magic Carpet Kits. Although I'm not really ready to do the interior, the sale seems very good and I will likley take advatage of it. However, I'm thinking of changing my interior color. My seats are currently black but since they will eventually need to be redone I could change their color too. My carpet is a silver/grey which actually doesn't make sense since it isn't an option from TRF. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of it becasue I removed it when doing the clutch and never put it back. If you have a picture and can share it that would be great, thanks.

Wow and much appreciated!! Would this possibly be where the Big 3 get their carpets from?

So what color are you considering for your new interior?

my was originally black, so I stuck with it but if I was gunna do it again I would go for chestnut!, just looks real classy IMHO

Btw: Soup what town in Ct are ya in?

thanx Bill

Bill, that is the thousand dollar question. I was thinking all black but I agree that adding a color combination would add some class to a car on jack stands (I'm doing the suspension and I'm only one quarter done).

I'm up north on the Mass. CT line in Enfield. It's a nice day today and I did do a little work on the pasasenger front today.

Just a word of caution -- I and a few others have in the past had problems with the grey carpet offerred by TRF. The ones supplied about 7 or 8 years ago would turn orange over time, possibly due to UV.

They did replace the worst piece on mine (rear tunnel) but that is not a practical solution so I have now obtained a new set (also grey) from Moss that will hopefully hold up better. This was a significant expense I was not planning on making twice in such a short time but that's how it goes.

It is possible TRF finally resolved the chameleon carpet, I do not know.

I used these people in the UK... they were fast, the quality was good and the price is better now that the dollar is doing better against the pound sterling. I got everything from them... carpet, seats, panels, top.

Check them out, and good luck.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like I won't need to rush into this purchase based on the other available manufacturers.

Paul, I did check out your site and have in the past as well. It's a great resource.

How about this question then.......is there a source that I should stay clear of? Hope that question doesn't break a forum rule.

I have the nylon carpets from TRF in mine, that I'm very happy with. I got them on sale and they are fine for me. But I will say, that I do like the Wilton Wool a bit more, as they are more plush, but they were not available (Chestnut) at the time that I was doing all of that work and wanted them installed. And there is a higher price for those, no matter who they come from.

Once again, Paul, you have come to my rescue w/ your carpet install directions. My '6 had no carpet in it when I got it, but a complete new carpet kit, probably from TRF, from the looks of your pix. They'll come in handy when I eventually do the carpet; at this rate, 2012!

LOL Kevin. I'm sure that it will be sooner than that!!
