interior mouldings

Hello!

I am curious to know if anyone has experience finding the trim/door moulding that came on 50's Saloons and was finished with velvet. My current option is to buy standard black rubber moulding from JC Whitney e. g., but the original stuff would be preferable.

The car I am working on is my '53 A-40 Somerset, and the moulding that remains is in poor to non-existent condition. The velvet in my car is red to match the upholstery.

Thank you kindly for any response, positive or negative!

I am going through the same search for a Wolseley... the only thing I have found is 'flocked' molding, which isn't too bad, but works out to over $600.00 for the 4 doors...
I saw a Rover with brandnew 'velvet' and was told the upholsterer made it up from stock molding and material the customer provided?
