I have ordered but not yet received Clausager's book so let me ask you folks a question. Our 67 BJ8 has a black interior. Was that an option or is Dark Blue the only color for the Healey Blue scheme? Thanks.
For the BJ7 & BJ8, both Clausager & Anderson-Moment show original - only -- Blue interior with white piping, blue carpet, blue hood, blue tonneau, for Healey Blue (BU2) exterior.
D
I have a Healey blue BJ8 and have black leather interior. Even though it is not original I love it! It is a great combo and I would not tear out my leather for blue ambla!!
Cheers.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif
NapoleonV...you need to come over and see my interior...I replaced it...and it looks fabulous...here is a link from the people that supplied the materials...
If the black interior is in good shape, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I would wear it out before replacing it. I'm willing to bet that 99% of the people looking at your car wouldn't know the difference. If it's ambla, I can tell you that untill it was mentioned here, I would have though black was an option.
Cool name by the way. I think on a BJ8 the blue interior with silver piping was the original choice. Here is a link to a good site for upholstry. They have some really good AH stuff
Thank you all. The interior is still in good condition but the quality (vinyl) looks like a Hyundai job. I will wait some time before I replace it. Thanks for the links too.
