Well, we are having our annual yard sale today, and for the heck of it I put a "For Sale" sign on the TR7.... Well, I told the first person who was interested that I would take $2,400 for it or $2,700 if I install a new headliner. He gave me his number and said to call him at the end of the day. Well interested buyer # 7 has just left and the offer is up to $3,400. What am I missing here? I don't want to sell it but the money would really come in handy for the work on the MGB GT.
But..... there is also the guy around the corner who has an 81 TR7 for sale too. Decisions Decisions.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

Sell your wedge and the MG and put that money towards a 'real' Triumph. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

someday you'll regret it. i still miss my '65 scout. i traded it for a motorcycle and a chain saw.

What.. Like a Spitfire Walt??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

If I do sell it I want to get somthing to keep me busy, and since I am not doing the major work on the GT, and may not see it until next spring... I have been inquiring into a couple TR6's in the area that would use some TLC. But... OHHH that TR7 convertable down the street.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

A spitfire would be fine. Though for the kind of money you should get out of a 7 and an MG you should be able to get into a 6 or if you are lucky find a 4, or a project 3. A 65 Scout was a nice little vehicle, very robust little 152 cu in four cylinder, and could go almost anywhere.

Paul, follow Walter's advice and get a "real" Triumph, like a TR8, something to blow the doors off those 3's,4's,250's, and 6's.

Now seriously, is the 81 around the corner a drop top?
