My Wife & I went down to the town of Floyd (VA) today.
While in a second hand store,I noticed a framed poster that was
given to a Pontiac dealer as an award.
It showed a 1985 Pontiac Fiero race car at Watkins Glen,
driven by Bob Earl, built by Huffaker Engineering & sponsored by
STP Son of a Gun.I have a friend Mace Gjerman, who worked for
Huffaker at the time as a race mechanic.
I was able to contact & talk to Bob Earl, who now lives about
15 miles from where we did in Eureka.
I thought this was interesting.

very cool indeed! And I had no idea Fiero's were ever raced in anger - quick google and voila...

It was an earlier car than that.
Huffaker were always very detail oriented & well-
finished (& fast!).
I met Joe Huffaker (Jr.) at the runoffs at VIR
two years ago.Very nice guy who took the time to
stop & talk to me.
I told him that "I have a Midget just like yours-
but completely different".To me,his was PERFECT.
