the rear fast back actually looks quite decent. Anyone know anything about this?

78Z,

The ad said that this car body was found in an old body shop. To me, it appears that a body man decided to make his own Jaguar replica. It is very similar in shape to the XKE, but also could have been an attempt to replicate a 1960's era factory racing model. Whatever it is, I am sure it was a Jaguar replica attempt. It just doesn't look enough like any one model that I am aware of to put a name to it. I would think that an XK engine could be mounted to the frame since the builder took the time to make a Jaguar window fit the body. Really interesting car! I would love to talk to the guy that built it and learn what his intentions were... maybe starting a line of replicas from his shop, or just always wanted a Jaguar, etc.

Yup... Neat looking car, and right in my old neighbourhood where I lived back in Ontario. If I was back there would have loved to have taken a look at it.

It's amazing the stuff that keeps popping up...

Out of sheer interest, here is a picture a friend of mine took of the same car when in the "for sale" field at the Barrie Automotive Flea Market in Ontario during the first weekend of June, a couple of weeks before it was listed on E-Bay.

As I recall the car sold in the E-Bay auction anyway... Just thought this picture below might interest some of you.
