Was sitting in the movie theatre (Monsters University - fun!) watching the pre show ads/ trailers. On comes an ad for a new album from Maestro fresh Wes - (sort of the grandfather of Canadian Rap - I know, Canadian Rap, who knew?!)

Anyways, they are showing clips from the video and low and behold it is filmed in our church! So, here it is, Morningside High Park Church in all its glory:

You didn't know he had rented your church?

And there is lots of great Canadian rap and hip hop, we have a great local scene here in Calgary... My photo...

I don't follow the local hip hop scene much, but here is one local group getting lots of attention all over, Dragon Fli Empire...

It's the church I attend, so ,while I am aware they rent it, I don't follow (or generally care) to whom. I don't actually serve a congregation, I serve a Synod (geographical cluster of 280 congregations)

I'm sorry...but rap etc. is simply atrocious poetry badly performed to one long, equally talentless percussion solo. The words "great" and "rap" should never come close to each other unless preceded by the words "there is no such thing as..."
