And the photo of James Dean. Was that right before the accident??

Edit: I just read in Wikipedia about the crash, and they stopped at a Mobil station on the way to the track. They also had had a Ford wagon and trailer with them for the Porsche which you can see in the picture. Dean drove the Porsche to the track to get some more break in miles on the engine. They were going to trailer it back from the track. Dean also had a photographer with him who probably took that photo.

They even snuck a Calgary poster right at the end (the Shepherd Raceway one), that track is long gone now, along with our most recent track that shut down two years ago now... :rapture: Still miss it, no real car racing around here anymore... Lots of great photos to look at...
