Interesting E-Bay Elva Formula Jr.

Hi Dale--

This year is the 50th anniversary of Elva and also the same for Formula Jr. so no doubt that is sparking interest. I spoke with the seller on Friday who told me very little about the car.

Aside from the points you make I'd be concerned about the seller's ability to pass clear ownership (even without a title) without acquiring a mechanic's lien under MD law. There are prescribed ways of doing this so that you can wipe out the present owner's interest and sell the car "in good faith".

Just imagine buying the car and building it only to have some guy come along and claim it is his!

Some of my fantasies are not all that well thought out...

But look how cool it would be when done!

BTW...Elva has been having a 50th year anniversary every year for the last 3 years...
I'm really starting to suspect that no one has any clue who did what when.
(Goes to show what happens when a bunch of guys decide to rent out the back of a pub & build cars /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif )
