Spitfire Insulation

Eventually I'm going to get my 1980 Spitfire back from the painters, and then it will be time to put it all back together (just in time for Spring!). I'm going to need to insulate it -- for sure against heat, and possibly for sound. Any recommendations?

Heat had not been a problem with my TR4, but at 60 m.p.h with the hood installed and the windows up, the resonant frequency of the stock exhaust system at 3000 r.p.m. generated a loud booming sound in the passenger compartment. (The car lacks overdrive.) Applying Dynamat Extreme > Automotive Soundproofing & Heat Control | Dynamat < to the floor and firewall and covering it with a layer of Dynapad > Heavy Duty Noise and Heat Reduction | Dynapad | Dynamat < in place of the stock jute pad yielded a noticeable reduction in that noise.
