Insulation Done [pics]

This was a miserable job but it's done. I also added a kill switch on my transmission tunnel. I even double coated the outside and inside the transmission tunnel because that's where most of the heat comes out of!

Nicely done! You're gonna thank yourself later!

Yeah it's a miserable job because it looks so sloppy while you are doing it but Mickey is right, you'll appreciate it later. Wait until the first time you go over some railroad tracks and for the first time you won't wonder which part of your TR just shook loose. The sound deadening effect is that good.

Looks great. I've now done that to three TRs. The toughest part is getting that dash saddle to go back over the hump. It's as if back in '62 they had a special computer that calculated the precise curvature so that the four bolts could reach the captive nuts only in one precise location, at one exact angle, and only then without cross-threading or stripping the bolts.

The insulation does look great. Heat and sound.

Is that Eastwood product backed with a thick matting?

The Eastwood mat is about medium thickness. I am going to add thicker material down where my feet will be.

Looks real good. You might want to stay away from a black interior, that installation works both ways when your running with the top down.
