TR4/4A installing TR-4 upper dash pad

I have a 65 TR-4 and need some advise on installing the dash pad. I have the pad and it's ready to install.
My question is what is the best adhesive to use?
Do I apply it to the entire pad?
Any tips?

I used 3M 8090 spray adhesive. Trial fit the pad, then mask off cowl to area to be sprayed. Spray both cowl and leading edge of pad, use sheets of paper between pad & cowl until correctly positioned, then withdraw paper and press.

You don't need a lot of adhesive on the top pad since the windscreen will pretty much clamp it in place when it is back on there.
