Installing Radio Today - Any advice?

I'm going to be installing the a radio/cd player behind the radio blanking plate today. (already converted to negative ground) I just wanted to see if anyone that has installed a radio in the car has any advice or suggestions on what wires to tap into or any other installation tips? I figured I could maybe learn from previous mistakes if someone had already tried something that didn't work too well.

Thanks!

Hi Brandon, should be straight forward. Up under the dash should be an empty connector with a brown wire attached that can be used for the primary power source for the radio. Both radio power and Memory if there is one can be common at this point.--Fwiw-Keoke

Ouch! either really funny /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif or you're having a bad day...? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cryin.gif But shouldn't he follow the speaker types and placement discussions we've had?

It's all finished. Everything is working well. I'll provide a more detailed post and pictures later. Thanks!

I'm just having a little funny at Keoke's expense, because I know he can take it and (more importantly) he's helped me more than he will ever know. Not that I haven't received a ton of help from lots of guys, but I send Keoke emails offline when I'm stuck doing something stoopid and he's always there.

As for Brandon, he's asked and heard. Now it's time for him to make himself happy. After all the agony of trying to decide what the right thing to do is, you gotta make your call and hope that it turns out the way you want. I'm betting his will turn out great.

Tell you the truth, I'm having a pretty good day. Lot's of problems, but a good day. Can't ask for more. Hope the rest of youse guys have a good one too.
